Dive In: A splash into scripture for Young Adults

Do you know the feeling of wanting to jump off the diving board for the first time, but being scared to leap?

That’s how it feels sometimes to pick up the Bible.

You want to read it, but don't know where to start.

Or maybe you’ve read it before, but found it confusing, or even disturbing, and didn’t know how to process it.

And you are curious about what all the fuss is about, but have been too afraid to ask.

As Young Adults, many of us know about the Bible and are familiar with some of the stories from it, but don’t really know how to approach it, what to believe about it, or even where to start with it. Just like learning to jump off a diving board, you want to try it, but aren’t sure it’s safe.

If this is true for you, join Pastor Marla at Med City Dinner Church every Wednesday starting on September 19th from 5:45-8:15pm. Enjoy a free meal together, hear a bit about what the Bible teaches us, and then break off as young adults to jump into the Deep End of engaging scripture. And bring all your questions… even those you’ve been afraid to ask. Gloria Dei is a great place to ask those questions, and a safe space to belong, just as you are.

Med City Dinner Church, starting September 19th at Gloria Dei in the Looking Within Center, followed by Dive In: A splash into scripture for Young Adults, ages 18-35 (post high, without kids).
