Children + Youth
We long to be the kind of community that makes faith “sticky” and long lasting for our children and youth. We value families worshiping together to experience compassion and grace. In all our programming for children and youth, we strive to create community through relationships with caring adults and their peers.
Offerings for Youth
Sunday morning messages are designed to resonate with people of all ages. We love worshiping with kids! We are intentional in connecting with our children in each of our worship services. Children are invited to set the table for communion or serve communion on their own or with adult assistance. If desired, nursery care is also available during most of our worship services for ages birth to 3 years.
Sunday School + Vacation Bible School
On Sunday mornings, our Sunday School program invites children through 5th grade to experience the Bible through play, relationships with peers and caring adults, and hands-on activities. Activities change throughout the year in which children and their parents can select the type of learning style that best suits them. Vacation Bible School in the summer is also a great week of friendship and fun.
Sunday School: Sept 10, 2017 - May 20, 2018
VBS: June 18-21, 2018
Offerings for Youth
Confirmation: Middle School
6th-8th grade youth are invited to take part in our Confirmation Programs on Wednesday evenings. Confirmation students learn about faith and build relationships together as a large group and in
small groups led by caring and compassionate adult guides. Youth are also invited to group retreats to dive deeper with their fellow confirmands and adult guides.
High School Youth Group
9th-12th grade youth spend time connecting with other students from the five area high schools and adult leaders, growing as a community of faith on Wednesday nights in the Loft. From Service Projects to Ice Cream and Games, the friendships formed each week create a long lasting impact.
Summer Trips: Middle and High School Youth
Middle School and High School week-long summer trips are offered each year as a chance to develop relationship and faith connections. Service, Leadership, and National Youth Gathering trips are a few of the themes alternating each year. These trips are transformative for youth and adult leaders alike!
There is always room for more at God’s Table. Everyone is welcome and that includes you!
At Gloria Dei, people of all ages are invited to the table to receive the bread and the wine of Holy Communion. When Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me”, he did not include any fine print on who should be included or what age they should be.
Being baptized into the community of faith is a special sacrament at Gloria Dei. Fill out the form below if you or your child would like to be baptized.
