The Way of the Rose
The Looking Within Center is holding a 4-week book study based on the book “The Way of the Rose: The Radical Path of the Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary” by Clark Strand and Perdita Finn.
Tuesdays, Sept 9, 16, 23, 30
6:30-7:30 pm in the LWC
register by September 3
NO COST FOR THIS BOOK STUDY
However, each participant will need to purchase their own copy of the book (“The Way of the Rose” by Clark Strand and Perdita Finn) and a rosary. A note on rosaries: you will have a choice of colored glass, crystals, or wood—larger beads are easier to work with. Another choice is crucifix (the crucified Christ) or plain cross (the risen Christ). [Rosaries can readily be purchased online.]
ABOUT THIS BOOK STUDY
“The rosary is a new way that is really an old way, perhaps the oldest way of all. We begin by holding this ancient symbol of the Mother (earth) of all life in our hands.” Rosary-like devotion goes back thousands of years, before Catholicism. Roses were woven as garlands of prayers to adorn statues of the Divine feminine in gratitude for her nurture and care. The rosary brings back into balance Divine masculine, Divine feminine, and Divine wisdom as well as prayers for healing the earth.
The study will divide the book into three sections examined over the first three weeks, with the fourth week focusing on ways to make the rosary personal to you. Attendees will be asked to purchase the book and a rosary with a reading prepared for the first session. A reading schedule will be provided.
