St Valentine: a 3rd-century Roman priest who defied Emperor Claudius II by secretly marrying Christian couples, as the emperor banned marriages believing single men were less hesitant to fight. Valentine was imprisoned, and while awaiting execution on February 14th, he supposedly befriended his jailer's daughter and wrote her a final note signed, "From your Valentine," creating the tradition. 

This party will be a nod to the Saint’s perseverance to choose love over war by participating in our own little “murder/execution” investigation.
