Morning Lenten Worship

“God is Closer Than You Think” is the title of John Ortberg’s newest book. The morning Lenten Series will be based on this book.
Pastor Ronningen will lead the following Wednesday morning worship services.

o March 3 ~ “The Choice”
o March 10 ~ “The Presence”
o March 17 ~ “The Voice”
o March 24 ~ “The People”
o March 31 ~ “The Kingdom”
Each Wednesday morning service, beginning February 24 will be followed by a luncheon served in the Fellowship Hall.

Kristin Knudson – Artist in Residence
Our “Artist in Residence” evening Lenten services return for a second year, this time focusing on the medium and art of photography. Beginning on Wednesday, February 24, local photographer and Gloria Dei staff member, Kristin Knudson, will join us as we examine how the natural progression in the relationship of the photographer and the subject is a beautiful illustration of a progressive relationship with God.
Kristin explains her art in this way: “I want to see the real person, not just the usual ‘say cheese’ picture. And once I have a glimpse of the real person, I want to capture this for the subject that they might see the wonderful person I see.” Join us for five very special 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening services as Pastor Charles, Kristin, and the Water’s Edge musicians lead us in an experience of God’s great love and passion for us as seen through the lens of a photographer.
