At Gloria Dei, there are so many ways to show

Hospitality!

  • There's something about food that brings people together. Our Sunday morning snacks help us slow down, connect with one another, and "feed" our sense of community. We would love your help in supplying those snacks!

  • The ushers at our traditional service are always a welcoming presence, ready to greet people and provide assistance whenever they are needed. They also guide worshippers to communion stations and help tidy the sanctuary afterward.

  • Our volunteer receptionists play a vital role in helping this church run smoothly during the week. They greet visitors, answer phone calls, and help with a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. They also support our children and youth ministries by preparing materials for upcoming projects.

  • Sometimes health and mobility challenges keep beloved members of our Gloria Dei community from being able to attend services or connect with others here. That’s when our Care Team steps in to bring Gloria Dei to them. Care Team members visit, call, and even serve communion on a regular basis, providing a vital link to our church and representing the love and concern we have for them.

  • When a loved one has died, family and friends need time and space to mourn their loss and connect with one another. One way Gloria Dei helps them in this process is by offering a meal after the funeral service. Our funeral team prepares and serves this meal as a tangible representation of God’s love and concern in the midst of grief.

  • Gardens have a way of demonstrating hospitality, and our church is blessed with a beautiful courtyard garden and other flower displays. Our garden team makes sure these spaces stay beautiful and inviting.
