high School YoutH
GDYG (Gloria Dei Youth Group - High School)
Weekly - Wednesdays: 7:17-8:18pm
9th-12th grade youth spend time connecting with other students from the five area high schools and adult leaders, growing as a community of faith on Wednesday nights in the Loft. From Service Projects to Ice Cream and Games, the friendships formed each week create a long lasting impact.
“In this changing world we live in, we, the GDYG Leadership Team, approach life with questions and doubts, looking to relate our lives to faith and the Bible. In doing so, we strive to create a safe, open, welcoming and inclusive space, where we can be involved in the greater Rochester community, become closer to God, be ourselves, attract people to our community and have fun.”
4-week rotation on Wednesday Nights:
1) What’s the Word on the Street? 2) Ice Cream’s All About the Quantity
3) What’s Goin’ On? Serving in the Community 4) Adventure of a Lifetime
GDYG serves Confirmation Dinner on Wednesday, October 2, 7 pm in the Loft. We get to eat a meal prepared by Chester’s Chef Derek Jensen as well. You won’t want to miss out! RSVP to D.J. at email@example.com.
Thought of the Week:
In line with our sustainability conversations over the past couple weeks, what are some ways we can both individually and collectively change our consumption habits to be better stewards of the land, resources, time, and gifts God has blessed us with?

Middle School and High School week-long summer trips are offered each year as a chance to develop relationship and faith connections. Service, Adventure, and National Youth Gathering trips are a few of the themes alternating each year. These trips are transformative for youth and adult leaders alike!
