Drama Ministry
Drama helps bring to life the story of Jesus and aspects of our lives as Christians, and involves actors of all ages. Short dramas, illustrating the theme of the day, are included in some of our Sunday services. Lent includes our annual Lenten drama series at the Wednesday night worship services.
Children in Worship
We welcome having children in church, and encourage parents to bring children of all ages to worship. Activity bags are available in the narthex for young children to use. The nursery is also staffed on Sunday mornings during the 9:15 and 10:45 services, and welcomes young worshipers up to four years old.
Need Help Getting to Church?
Call or e-mail the church office by 12 noon on Friday and we’ll have R&S Transport pick you up for the 9:15 service on Sunday morning.
Church Recordings
Cassette recordings of Sunday worship at the Gloria Dei campus are available upon request. E-mail the Church Office to receieve a cassette copy or visit the downloads page to listen to the sermon online!
Communion for the Homebound
The Lord’s Supper is available to our homebound members each month through visits from our Deily Friends or pastors. For more information, call (289-1841)or e-mail Carole Jacobson.
Worship Volunteers
Assisting with worship and creating a welcoming environment is a vital part of our Sunday and Wednesday evening worship ministry. The following are just some of the ways we encourage youth (9th grade and up) and adults to volunteer:
- Ushers, greeters, scripture readers
- Communion assistant; acolytes (7th grade and up)
- Hospitality set-up and servers
- Set-up crew (Glory to God)
- Altar team (furnishes the altar with the correct paraments and prepares communion for church. They also decorate the church for special holidays like Christmas and Easter.)
- Sound and PowerPoint Operators
