Youth Drop In (3:00 - 6:00 p.m.)
Middle and High School kids ... Come to the loft after school to finish up some homework, hangout with friends, listen to music, and play some games. Snacks and beverages will be available to purchase to tide you over until dinner!
Adult Education – Conversation with Pastor (4:00 – 5:00 p.m.)
A traditional Bible study on the Gospel of Matthew. People can ask questions or just listen to the discussion. Come occasionally or every week. Pastor Charles will begin each session with a Q & A on subjects selected by the class.
Food (5:00 – 6:00 p.m.)
HyVee Catering will be supplying our weekly dinner. Menus change from week to week but typically the food rotates between American and Chinese. (Most entree's are $3 each and sides are $1 each.)
Worship (6:00 – 6:35 p.m.)
Worship will invite people into a closer relationship with God by helping youth and adults to connect with God through spiritual practices or disciplines (e.g., Holy Communion, confession, or prayer). Together we’ll experience God’s presence rather than simply learn about God. A plurality of people involved in worship will be a hallmark of this gathering, and youth will be mentored in all aspects of worship leadership.
Childcare (6:30 – 8:30 p.m.)
Children under three are invited to play in the nursery after worship so parents can enjoy the activities taking place. Nursery attendants are third year nursing students from Luther College. Your children are in GREAT hands!!
Kidz RESORT and Children's Choirs (6:40 – 8:00 p.m.)
Kidz RESORT will have a new twist this year as the Children's Choirs rehearsal will be built into Kidz RESORT. Children (3 years - Grade 5) will have the opportunity experience multiple reflection stations. The goal being to help kids enter into a relationship with God rather than teaching them information about God. Each classroom with have two adults with 12 or less kids. Service will also be an important part. Service Projects for families to do together will planned throughout the year. Please register online or pick up a registration card at either campus. Additional programming is scheduled for children not wanting to attend choir so their parents may attend Adult Education. Talking Points for Parents
The Edge (6:40 – 8:00 p.m.)
A time in which ninth thru twelfth graders learn and experience God’s word through music, media, meditation, worship, and sharing thoughts on many topics. This is a great time for you to learn and grow in your relationship with God. Talking Points for Parents
Splash ... previously known as Confirmation (6:40 – 8:00 p.m.)
Gloria Dei Youth ... Grades 6, 7 and 8. Confirmation is a great experience for you to learn more about God’s word and for you to experience growing in your relationship with God along with your friends. Students rotate between large group and break out sessions with an adult guide to discuss specific topics. Talking Points for Parents
Adult Round Table (6:40 – 7:45 p.m.)
A non-traditional approach to adult spiritual growth. Small group dynamics that support and encourage the telling of our faith stories. Large dynamics that give Pastor Charles a place to share lessons on spiritual growth that our children are learning in their education time.
Adult Choir (7:00 – 8:30 p.m.)
Join the Adult Choir as they rehearse for their Sunday morning performances. New members always welcome!
