Living Waters Worship
Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel
Enjoy a refreshing worship gathering on Wednesdays called “Living Waters.” This convenient service, led by Pastor Karna includes weekly communion, music, visual and experiential elements, and shortened life application messages.
Samaritan Bethany Foundation’s 4th Annual Golf Classic
The Golf Classic will be held at Somerby Golf Club in Byron on Monday, August 2nd. We are still looking for organizations, individuals, and/or companies for support to be the dinner sponsors, cart sponsors, driving range sponsors, hole sponsors, and golfers. This year’s fee is $175 per golfer which includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, putting green, driving range, and a reservation at dinner. Even if you aren’t a golfer, come just for the dinner at $75 per person. Proceeds from this year’s golf classic are designated for the Samaritan Bethany Creating Home Building Project. Running Start
It is time to think about the students beginning school in the fall and the items they will need. Gloria Dei is again partnering with the United Way of Olmsted County to help distribute school supplies to thousands of children in Olmsted County who receive free or reduced lunch and are also in need of supplies. Barrels are in place around Gloria Dei to place your donations in. Items needed: backpacks (new), notebooks, markers, pencils, glue bottles & sticks, rulers, pencil boxes, scissors, pocketed folders, and colored pencils.
Glorious Bells Members Needed
Gloria Dei’s handbell ministry has two openings in the Glorious Bells choir. Those who can read music are encouraged to join. Rehearsals are Mondays from 5:45-6:45 beginning in September. The group contributes to worship one Sunday a month. Please call Deb Rentfrow at 993-9154 with any questions.
Courtyard Help Needed
The courtyard is beautiful with many flowers in bloom but we need help keeping it looking great. Volunteers are needed to weed and water the courtyard and flower pots in front of the church. Sign up at the Hospitality Desk today!
Sunday School Registration
Registration packets for the 2010-2011 JAM Caravan (Sunday School) are now available at the Hospitality Desk or in the church office.
Church Nursery
The nursery is open but not staffed during the summer months. There is a speaker located in the nursery so parents can hear the service while watching their children.
Summer Office Hours
The church office will be open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. On Fridays, it will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
