Milestone Ministry for Children
What is a milestone ministry?
At Baptism, parents and sponsors promise to faithfully bring their children to the services of God’s house, place in their child’s hands the Holy Scripture, teach their children the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments, and provide instruction in the Christian faith.  As a congregation, we promise to partner with parents on this journey.  Milestone ministries are scheduled celebrations on a child’s Baptismal journey.

Baptism Classes
Parents reflect on their own journey, learn about the promises made at Baptism, the impact that parents have on faith and the details of Baptism at Gloria Dei.  Classes are held following the last worship service in Room 10.

Kindergarten Blessing
February 26, 2012
Kindergarteners receive a Young Readers Bible during the 9:15 or 10:45 worship service then enjoy a “Introduction to the Bible” luncheon from Noon—1:30.

Fifth Grade First Communion
