Baptism Classes
Families attend this class as they prepare to have their child baptized. At the class we have an opportunity to reflect on our baptismal journey and what/who has brought us to the baptismal font with our children. We also learn about the promises that are made at baptism and about ways Gloria Dei and parents partner to fulfill these promises. If you would like to sign up for a baptism class and schedule your baptism, please call the church office at 289-1841.
Third Graders Receive Bibles
Fall 2008
After receivinging their bibles in church, third graders and their parents will attend a noon lunch and an “Introduction to the Bible” class with the pastors at the Gloria Dei Campus.
Fifth Graders First Communion
Spring 2009
This is one way we fulfill the baptism promise to “provide for them instruction in the Christian faith”. Fifth graders and their families attend a mock Last Supper, where they learn the elements of a Passover meal and how Christ is the Lamb of God. Following the meal the fifth graders take an active role in the Maundy Thursday worship service, where they also receive their first communion.
