Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall
A traditional Bible study in a small group setting. People can ask questions or just listen to the discussion. Come occasionally or every week. Pastor Charles will begin each session with a Q & A on subjects selected by the class.
Adult Round Table
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel
A casual, small group experience led by Pastor Charles. Themes used in worship will be explored in a smaller setting, giving the chance to go deeper into each topic discussed. This year we'll be following the Bible from Genesis to Revelation through "The Story" a narrative of the Bible. Journey with us on this exciting adventure through the Bible.
Book Club
Second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m.
** New ... There's now also an evening meeting of the Book Club. Join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.!
A wide variety of books are covered and are chosen by the Book Club members. Anyone is welcome and books are generally provided through the Rochester Public Library. The Book Club meets September through June. If interested, please come and join us at the designated time.
Sunday Morning Adult Education
Room 10 at 9:15 a.m.
Worship and education go hand in hand as we, year by year, grow closer to Jesus. Enhance your Sunday morning by including a discussion of the assigned Gospel lesson's implications for daily living. Led by Gloria Dei member Paul Dahlen, the class content is based on the ELCA's Bible study curriculum called "Daily Discipleship."
6:15 a.m. Men's Bible Class
Thursdays at 6:15 a.m. in Room 10
Just a group of average guys having a better than average time - laughing, studying the Bible, telling stories, and praying. Led by Pastor Charles.
9:00 a.m. Men's Bible Class
Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. in Room 10
The hour will include coffee, Bible story videos, Bible reading, and prayer. No homework for anyone. Just come to Room 10 at 9:00 a.m. on Thursdays for a pleasant hour of fellowship.
